My Skills as Producer - Composition, Music Theory, Automation, General confidence with DAW, Sampling/Time-Stretching, Very Good at sequencing.

I need to develop my critical listening in this project as well as develop my mixing skills and my skills with Equalisers and Compressors. Critical listening is important because subtle differences can majorly affect the sound of the music and therefore it is important to pick up these subtle differences in sound, for example being able to tell how a compressor changes the sound and how to make the compressor make the mix sound good. Mixing skills are important because it is important that every instrument in a track is in sync and sounds well together, adding texture and fullness to the mix and making the song sound complete and good. Compression and EQ are important because they can make the music sound good by adding subtle changes into the mix, for example by compressing the waves or, in the case of EQ, boosting required frequencies, whilst cutting out unwanted noise and overtones.
